We stayed at Pullman Hyde Park and our stay was amazing. The location is great since it is very close to Museum train station. The staff at reception, bell boy, the bar, and restaurant were all great and provided amazing services. Highly recommend this hotel to family with young children.

As an Accor Platinum member, I've come to expect a certain level of service and attention to detail from the Pullman brand. Regrettably, my recent stay at Pullman Hyde Park was underwhelming and failed to live up to these expectations, despite the standard room upgrade that comes with my membership.

The initial interaction set a disappointing tone for my stay, with an impersonal check-in process marked by a lack of warmth or welcoming smile from the staff. This was compounded by the absence of the customary welcome gestures, such as a letter or a small gift in my room, which I've come to appreciate in my travels with Pullman.

A particularly notable issue was the daily breakfast experience. Each morning was met with a frustrating wait, often exceeding five minutes, just to be seated. This was not only inconvenient but also surprising, given the usual efficiency of Pullman hotels.

Moreover, upon arriving from the airport, I found no assistance with luggage waiting, a stark contrast to the attentive service I've experienced at other locations. Additionally, communication with the hotel staff was consistently challenging. My requests and inquiries often seemed to be overlooked, with no proper follow-up provided.

In summary, the overall experience at Pullman Hyde Park was a letdown. The lack of personalized service, combined with the daily breakfast queues and poor communication, significantly detracted from the quality of my stay. This was not the level of hospitality I expect as a Platinum member and from my previous experiences with Pullman hotels.

The hotel is great value in a great location. Our room was excellent and the roof top gym, pool, spa and sauna is pretty epic. We didn’t eat at the hotel because our schedule was very busy, but otherwise everything was a solid 5 star review. There was also a surprise lolly trolley in the foyer as we checked out, and I have a soft spot for these things…

We stayed for our anniversary and wrote in the optional note spot that it was. On arrival they had chocolates and a dessert plate. We were given a free upgrade and we were just so surprised and grateful. Everything the staff had done for us was so accomodating and made us feel so blessed and happy. We will definitely be staying again anniversary or not I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

I’ll start from the top down.

The gym is nice. Good selection of equipment and a cracking view. A great gym for anyone travelling, even a barbell for heavier sessions.

Pool, jacuzzi and sauna are also good with space to relax and QR codes to order poolside food and drinks. A bit tatty around the edges but still nice.

The room is dated and tatty. Peeling paint, cobwebs on the window, wooden coverings split. It feels old but the room itself is large. The bathtub is also large and a highlight of the bathroom.
The smart TV was not smart, no streaming services and the mirroring it touts as being able to do requires a paid app.
The pillows gave me neck ache as they were solid and despite there being a pillow menu it’s not what I want to be messing with as I get into bed.

Reception was the biggest disappointment. We’ve managed to get up to platinum status for the first time and have been enjoying a warm welcome at every Accor. Paid a bit more for a 5 star on this occasion and thought we would get something special but was met with a cold check in, no explanation or amenities, no acknowledgment of loyalty status. I was actually given false information about breakfast inclusion which I questioned and she doubled down. Fortunately the breakfast staff (Pear) acknowledged the status and it wasn’t a problem in the morning.

The closest thing to a welcome gift was a bottle of tap water. We did have a knock on the door at 18:00 with some nice boxes of chocolate but that was too little too late I’m afraid.

Onto breakfast, while acceptable it paled in comparison to breakfast I’ve had at lower level hotels. Only orange and apple juice when most hotels offer cranberry, pineapple or even guava. The bread was crumbly and the toaster slow and the ordered hot drinks took 15-20mins to arrive.
It’s also the first time I’ve had to queue for breakfast. It’s surprising that a hotel of this size and supposed status has such a small space for breakfast.

All in all, makes me question the value of 5 star in a hotels description. Would not recommend. It’s a shame how a poor check in can affect how we view the rest of the stay. For 5 star service try the manly Accor.

The rooms were really a good size for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. The best feature was the bath where the kids just had a great time. Rooms were clean with nice views. Buffet breakfast was awesome with so much variety of food. Perfect location as well so overall we had a wonderful time. Hotel staffs were courteous and always willing to help.
Would definitely stay again at this property.

Giselle was amazing in accommodating our needs while I was having surgery at St Vincents. It has not been a nice time being diagnosed of cancer with a young 6 month old child and two other children. I woke after getting out of hospital to a beautiful get well fruit platter. All the staff were so amazing and we can never thank you enough for everything you did and how at home you made us feel. We will definitely be returning and have already recommended you to everybody.
