  Asked a friend go to this shop to have my house key and mailbox key cut in August. I did not know this shop but it's near my friend's place so it was my first time to use their service. Although the mailbox key ($4.50) works, the house key does not work ($8.50 key). But I needed the key urgently so I went to have it cut again in another shop (Shu fix in world square, not my first time here and their cut keys always work) as its open late (until 9pm). The other shop told me straight away that they picked the wrong size of the blank key.
  
  I just had a chance to go to the shop today to ask for a refund. They refused to give me a refund saying that they could fix it and it was not their fault that I went to another shop instead of coming back to fix with them. I no longer needed the key but agreed to get a fixed one since they would not give me any refund anyway.
  
  The worst thing is that they did not admit their mistake saying they have many years of experience and implied that my friend seemed to give them the wrong key to cut from the beginning. They also said their policy is like their cut keys are guaranteed to work (apparently not for me). We all know that people can make mistakes once in a while even experts, right? Moreover it's impossible that my friend gave them the wrong key because I gave my friend 2 keys, 1 mailbox key and 1 house key. Both keys were chained together in a key ring. She gave the shop the whole thing together. It is strange that one got cut correctly but the other was not.
  
  My suggestion is goes to Shu fix to have your keys cut. This shop is not far from John's and offer similar price. They also guarantee their work. However, if it's not too inconvenient, go to Bunnings wearhouse, their key cuts service is much cheaper.
